Silk bag 1

This is a 'chirimen' silk bag with a woven bamboo base.  Chirimen is considered the 'empress of silks' in Japan, an exquisitely soft crepe silk with a liquid drape.  The bag is lined with a cream silk fabric and is brand new.  The bamboo base is 8" (20.3 cm) x 4.5" (11.4 cm) and the bag is 7" (17.8 cm) tall.   It closes with silk cords.  A lovely gift for a friend - or for yourself!
