This soft silk fascinates me. At the end of the bolt is a signature, 'Pierre Cardin', which leads me to believe that this silk was designed by him. There has certainly been some crossover between Western and Japanese designers over the years and this is obviously an example of that. It certainly has the right look with its bold design against a deep plum/brown background. Please note that the red lines are clear red, not the slightly orange-red that they appear in the photos. This silk would make a wonderful scarf or even a wall hanging. The design appears on one side only.
